The singers in Novi Cantori come from a variety of backgrounds, but are united in their love of choral music and commitment to artistry.

Todd Fruth, artistic director

Active as a conductor, educator, vocalist, and arranger, Todd Fruth is thrilled to serve as artistic director of Novi Cantori. In addition to his work with Novi, Todd directs the choral program at Amherst Regional High School, where he leads three ensembles and teaches music theory and music production classes. He also directs the a cappella group The Green Street Brew.

As a tenor, Todd performs regularly throughout the region. He has sung with ensembles including Illumine Vocal Arts Ensemble, Voices of Concinnity, and Cantabile, and has recently appeared as a soloist with Hampshire Choral Society, Panopera, and several area churches.

Todd has served on the board of the MMEA Western District and MassACDA. Originally from Ohio, Todd received his undergraduate degree in Music and Psychology from Amherst College and his Masters in Music Education from Indiana University. In his spare time, he enjoys hiking, yoga, and cooking.
