The singers in Novi Cantori come from a variety of backgrounds, but are united in their love of choral music and commitment to artistry.
Todd Fruth, artistic director
Active as a conductor, educator, vocalist, and arranger, Todd Fruth is thrilled to serve as artistic director of Novi Cantori. In addition to his work with Novi, Todd directs the choral program at Amherst Regional High School, where he leads three ensembles and teaches music theory and music production classes. He was recognized with the 2019 Pioneer Valley Excellence in Teaching Award.
Originally from Ohio, Todd received his undergraduate degree in Music and Psychology from Amherst College, and he earned his Masters in Music Education from Indiana University. In addition to his teaching duties, he performs as a tenor with Illuminati Vocal Arts Ensemble, and he directs the adult a cappella group the Green Street Brew. Todd has been an active member of the Massachusetts Music Educators’ Association Western District board and the board of MassACDA. In his spare time, he enjoys hiking, yoga, and cross-country travel.
